Glossary of terms found under /validators

commission

The rate charged by validators to entities that have delegated their stake to them. This is applied to the delegators' share of the #checkpointsignaturerewards.

currentState

The status of this validator with regards to the evaluation framework set by the Polygon community. For more information, see here: Polygon Improvement Proposal 4.

delegatorApr

The annual percentage rate earned by delegators staking with this validator net of commissions. For more information, see here.

description

A short description of the entity linked to the validator.

effectiveness

The aggregate validator effectiveness over the requested time period, that applies to said validator. Read more about the methodology here.

name

The name of the entity associated with a particular validator.

networkPenetration

The percentage of overall network stake the particular validator is associated with.

owner

The Ethereum address linked to the validator that is used to execute staking management transactions (e.g. staking, unstaking, withdrawing).

signer

The Ethereum address linked to the validator that is used for signing checkpoints.

status

The current status of a validator whether active or not.

url

The website url associated with the entity linked to the validator.

validatorApr

The return on the total stake of the validator based on the rewards they receive from checkpoint signing, checkpoint proposals, and block proposals on Bor. For more information, see here.

validatorId

The ID number assigned to this validator by the Polygon PoS network.
